(How to help your Service Tech save you $)

1) Service Technicians will do their best to provide you with the best service possible. Your home becomes his work place. Please be as considerate of his working conditions as you wish him to be of your home.

2) Put up your dogs.
Even friendly dogs can be an annoyance to a guest in your home. Especially someone who is trying to concentrate on your mechanical equipment. Distractions to the mechanic cost him time and you money.

3) Remove stacks of stuff, from around your units, both inside and outside units. Your tech will need access to your equipment. If you wish him to move your possessions in order to gain safe access to your equipment, he will. Remember he is on your clock.

4) Your outside unit: Do not plant shrubbery or flowers near your outside unit. ESPECIALLY sharp, pointy and sticking plants near your unit. Your tech will need to have a safe, clean work space all around your outside unit.

5) Your inside unit: Your inside unit, if in a closet or basement should be easy to get to. If your unit is under the house then there should no debris in front of or behind the access door. Closets should be free of storage.

6) Your tech may need to work outside during adverse conditions, if so he will get dirty in your service. Providing him with a place to clean his hands and shoes, and some rags with which to do so will help him keep your home tidy.
